Our Story

How Hempward Began

The Hempward Farms journey began with Jana’s horse, Jack. After surgery on his stifle, Jack was prescribed ten weeks of stall rest followed by short hand walks. As a large warmblood, this was a challenging and potentially risky process.

After trying CBD, the difference was clear. Jack became calmer and easier to manage, making it possible to begin his long recovery with more confidence. Soon after, the family saw similar support with their dog, Jonas, during thunderstorms, and with Bella, another family dog who also benefited from a calmer routine.

Curious about the broader role CBD could play in daily wellness, the family began using it in their own routines as well. Those experiences led to a deeper interest in hemp and its potential.

As established hay farmers already committed to working closely with the land, the Ward family began exploring hemp as a natural extension of their farming values. From there, Hempward Farms was born — a family-run business dedicated to creating hemp-derived CBD products with care, consistency, and integrity.
